Does anyone else have problems with AGM mags spitting out BBs at the slightest knock on the side? Going bloody crazy with mags spitting out all of its contents on reloads.

try a tiny spray of silicon lubricant in the catch mechanism (not where the BB's go). I've found that solved the problem.

i had it with my g3 mags, the catch that stops the bb's coming out was slightly too large, so filing a small amount from each side meant it was free to move around instead of being stuck and letting bb's rain everywhere

used the cut a chunk out of the inner magwell technique and now they all fit and feed perfectly :happyclap:

Dieselmonkey, tried it, will see how it affects the problem.

Though I can't get though my thick skull how the catch being too big/not lubed enough would cause it to split out BBs. Wouldn't it cause just the opposite, the BBs would be stuck from the catch not moving well enough?

Why do you always carry that umbrella?

have had a couple of MP40 mags do that before, as dieselmonkey said, a bit of silicon oil solved the problem for a bit, wondering if the springs in the retainer clip become 'tired' maybe?

the problem he's trying to explain is that the catch is stiff i.e. does not move freely in its slot and may need a little light sanding on the sides so it moves properly with the spring pressure, may as he said just need a little lube and work it back and forth .ive had it where the catch is stiff and moves back when filling but not forward again or very little witch either lets all the bb's straight out again or at the lightest jolt.
hope that is a little clearer

Yes! 2 out of my 4 AGM/ASG metal bodies mid-caps do just that. I've lubed up little catch many times, but it's never helped (if anything, the BBs push it out of the way more easily now :( It seems that if anything, the catch is too small, and doesn't extend over the BBs face enough, and so can be pushed out of the way by the side-wall of the top BB more easily.

if they get a bit worn then you can file the finger catch part off at one end, this bit acts as an end stop and filing 1mm off will allow it 1mm more out across the bb hole.

yeah sorry didnt explain it too well. the notch would sit back far enough for you to load bb's and would hold them, but with a small nock it would loose grip and send a shower of bb's because it couldnt slide all the way forward to cover the bb's to stop them coming out (they even randomly showered out when i'd finnished loading sometimes it was rubbish.

sold the gun now anyway, down to one modern pistol now and a gas mp5k which is halfway to being sold. almost 100% ww2 :)

is it an original mag or a king arms one,the original 50rnd mag has a round section spring but the king arms 100rnd mags are double stacker's and have an elongated loop to the spring so make sure the donor mag has the correct spring.
